The 4th International Conference on Neuroeconomics and Neuromanagement

(ICNN 2014)

Nov. 1-2, 2014

Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, P.R. China

Theme: Managerial Decision Making and the Brain

Welcome to the 4th International Conference on Neuroeconomics and Neuromanagement (ICNN 2014) at Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, P.R. China)! You will be joined by academic leaders as well as other fellow researchers for the latest trend in the interdisciplinary fields of Neuroeconomics and Neuromanagement. This meeting will be held from November 1 to November 2, 2014, and will feature a series of conference reports, posters, and workshops by eading scholars and experts.

Neuroscience and social science have witnessed tremendous advance in Neuroeconomics and Neuromanagement since the birth of these interdisciplinary fields at the turn of the century. In order to explain the cognitive and neural basis of human decision-making, the ability to process multiple alternatives and to choose an optimal course of action, especially in a managerial context, a growing number of scientists from different background have combined research methods from neuroscience, experimental and behavioral economics, and cognitive and social psychology.

Considering the fact that differences in knowledge structure and thinking mode hindered the communication and cooperation of neuroscientists, we sponsor such a conference since the year 2008 to establish a platform on which scholars from different academic background can get together and discuss the hot topics in these interdisciplinary fields. Apart from conference reports, we also accept applications for poster presentations, and a poster session will be arranged. In the past three sessions (2008, 2010 and 2012), the conference has attracted large numbers of renowned scholars to share their ideas. We hope that the upcoming session of the conference would be a feast for the academia.

The topics covered in the conference include, but are not limited to:

♦ Decision-making under risk and uncertainty, loss aversion and intertemporal choice

♦ Reinforcement learning and social conformity

♦ Hyper scanning and cross brain neuro-feedback: Scientific concept and experimental platform

♦ NeuroIS: Making use of neuroscience and neurophysiological methods, tools, and theories to better understand the design, development, and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in organizations and society

♦ The impact of advertising, branding and other marketing measures on consumer behavior and its underlying psychological mechanism

♦ The nature of the cognitive processes engaged in acquiring and processing information in financial decision-making

♦ Bringing neuro-scientific knowledge into leadership development, management training, education, consulting and coaching

♦ Research on Ergonomics and Neural-Industrial Engineering;

♦ Neuro-Design: The neurobiology behind design and innovation

♦ Methodological studies of fMRI, EEG, fNIRS and eye tracking

♦ The potential application of cognitive neuroscience in other social science domains and the possible innovations of research methods and platforms
